Humanity is the only species that has the ability to create for creativity’s sake. Animals may be able to create but they only do so within the context of creating for need. They take raw materials and on their best day might be able to arrange them in a fashion that is suitable for shelter. Beavers and birds come to mind. But other than that, they simply exist concerned only with the necessities.

Humanity is different. We are gifted with the ability to create for the sake of creation itself. And in doing so lies the potential to create things that can be either good or bad, constructive or destructive.

At Red Cowboy we believe in creating things that are good and constructive, hopeful even. When we create in this way we are attempting to make the world a better place.

However, most design firms begin with marketing as their starting point. They are trying to sell a product. The end result often comes off as cliché, cheap, shallow, and detached. We believe these adjectives are the antithesis to a better, more hopeful world.

So when we partner with our clients we don’t try to market your product. Instead we try to tell your story. As ambitious as it might sound . . . we attempt to create a better world by using our creativity for good, constructive, and hopeful design. This is what good art should do and be about. And it is our most noble aim.
